DELTA device physical treats the water, under pressure, and turbulence, perpendicular to the flow of water. This causes a conversion of suspended particles into the colloidal suspension presenting crystallization. These particles can easily remain suspended in the water stream rather than adhering to system wall as scale.

Delta device works on two major steps- adsorption and turbulence; it makes use of galvanic principle by locally enhancing the Ph value of water. Due to the Galvanic action, the inside core gets negatively charged and attracts the lightest ions present in the fluid i.e. Hydrogen ion towards itself. PH of a fluid is inversely proportional to the H+ ions.

Thus, with the concentration of H+ ion becoming comparatively less in the fluid inside the equipment, PH value increases, there by precipitating Calcium and Magnesium salts before it comes in contact with hot tubes. Consequently, once the precipitation of these hardness causing salts has taken place, further precipitation due to temperature variation is not possible.

Finally the turbulence bars on the core create the turmoil in the water flow, which breaks the precipitates into the colloidal particles (Micron size substances). These tiny particles remain suspended in the process water without creating any hassle to the system.
